Hammond Design has been revolutionizing the marching arts activity over the last several years by working with top ensembles to develop an ideal experience on the marching field. Extensive research and design work has been done with many of DCI’s top drum & bugle corps to help them develop the ultimate, balanced sound while on the marching field. Karl has made these mouthpieces to suit the needs of the performers on the field that offers superior intonation and projection. The rim design of all Hammond Design mouthpieces allow for greater comfort that result in increased endurance and accuracy and especially aid the players involved in the marching arts activity.

	6MPh & 5MPh These custom mellophone mouthpieces are the heavyweight versions of the 6MP and 5MP and provide a slightly darker and more focused core sound.	• Bluecoats • Glassmen • Colts
	5MP This mellophone mouthpiece uses the number 5 rim with a deeper V shape cup than the other mellophone models. Baritone & Euphonium	10XL This mouthpiece is a combination of our 10 diameter rim with the XL cup and utilizes our standard backbore with a .290 throat. The mouthpiece is a shorter length than out standard line to provide a more open feel on the marching baritone instrument.	• Bluecoats

Tuba	30L Similar to the Geib but with a more open entrance to the throat. It is a flatter rim with a .323 throat and our standard backbore. This mouthpiece is extremely versatile throughout the range of the horn and produces a even, dark sound.	• Bluecoats
